About 360 degree feedback

360 degree feedback has been used by learning and development professionals for many years to help individuals and organisations improve their performance, effectiveness and profitability. It is a powerful tool that helps you become more effective by understanding how others see you, your performance, your behaviour and your attitudes. Now with Appraisal360 you can do it for yourself without even leaving your desk!

How does it work?

Appraisal360 works by gathering the opinions of a number of people.  A series of carefully structured questions prompt you to assess your skills in a number of key areas.  A number of other people - typically around six - are then asked to give their perception of you by answering the same set of questions, which are then compiled into a feedback report.  The respondants cannot be identified in the report and because we are an outside third party Appraisal360 offers the opportunity for people to give confidential feedback in a safe environment.

What will it achieve?

Our web-based software generates your personal feedback report automatically, highlighting differences between your self perception and how others see you.  Critical areas for self-development are often highlighted. You will be sent an action planner to work through in your own time - either on your own or with a mentor.  The pressure of face to face feedback is removed.  You choose who, if anyone, sees the results.

Step by step...

360 degree feedback - gathers structured feedback from colleagues

Appraisal360 has been designed to make getting high quality feedback from the people you work with a simple and hassle free experience.

All the questionnaires and reports are handled online - and all your and your clients need to be able to use the system is a web browsers and an email account. There is no software to download and the system has been designed to be compatible with any standard corporate desktop IT regime.

Step 1

Once you have registered and chosen the workset you want to use, the system will build you a personalised feedback questionnaire using one of our behavioural competency frameworks. Within each framework some competencies are mandatory and you may have the option to choose from a number of additional competencies.

Step 2

Now you fill in the questionnaire about yourself - your self perception - and give the email addresses of six people - your respondents - who you want to ask for feedback. Actually the software will let you can ask as many as you want, but six is usually about right.

Each of these people will receive a link via email inviting them to fill in an identical questionnaire about their perception of you. You can see on the control panel who has filled in their questionnaire and who you're still waiting for - but you can't see who said what.

Step 3

Once everyone has filled out their feedback form your report will appear on the control panel for you to view online or download and print. It's been carefully designed to make it easy to interprete and you also get a workbook to download to help you interpret your feedback and build your action plan.
